New at Casablanca ComicsMonday, November 24, 2008First Friday Artwalk...Comics in Portland!First Friday Artwalk in December features local comics artists: Friday, December 5th 5-8 PM CASABLANCA COMICS/ MAPLES GELATERIA 151 Middle Street Ben Bishop, Michael Connor, Christina Siravo and others Comics Scene in Portland Pen and ink, pencils, watercolor, mixed media Featuring the artwork of several of Portland's talented artists working in the comics medium. Artists include Ben Bishop ("Nathan the Caveman" Graphic Novel), Michael Connor ("Coelacanthus"), Christina Siravo ("Little Red Ridinghood"). Books of these artists will be available at the event. Monday, November 03, 2008Election Day Special- Free Graphic Novels for your vote! Tomorrow (Tuesday) is election day and Casablanca Comics encourages everyone to vote. We don't care who you vote for as long as you go to the polls and cast your ballot. As a thank you to everyone who does vote we are offering a FREE GRAPHIC NOVEL to anyone who visits the stores on Tuesday with an "I Voted" sticker. We have a great selection for you to choose from at both stores and it is our way of saying thanks! There will be boxes full of books for you to choose from while supplies last.
