New at Casablanca Comics

The Burma Chronicles is Canadian author and artist Guy Delisle's new graphic
novel. His other works include Pyongyang, Shenzen, and Aline and the Others.
Delisle's autobiographical comics showcase a keen sense of perspective, as
well as humor and irony. He has a lot to say about culture shock as well as
how both easy *and* difficult it is to relate to other people, no matter
what country you are in.

This graphic novel specifically tells about the year he and his family spent
in Myanmar, known to those who do not accept the legitimacy of its
government as Burma. His wife is busy with her work with the Doctors Without
Borders, so that leaves him most often alone with their young son.

This book is educational and touching, like all of his work. His art is
simple, but easily invokes powerful emotions. Check it out!
